It was their third World Championship title together, having won the world title in 1995 and 1996 (Soling class). <br />As you would expect, Wittey is vastly more experienced than his two proteges. <br />He began to sail before he could walk, and has made yachting his life. <br />In 1995 he was part of the Louis Vuitton Cup on Sydney 95 and he was also part of the Americas Cup Challenger Series in the same year. <br />Wittey is an accredited international judge and umpire, a significant achievement. <br />When he is not sailing he enjoys paddling, rollerblading, walking and horseriding. He is married to Portia with one daughter. <br />Grace began sailing when he was 15.
