"We had to bring all of the fresh plants and flowers which had been growing at Willoway Nurseries in Avon." <br />Lastminute preparations also included laying carpet and hanging chandeliers in the 16 interior designer showcasing rooms. <br />After preparing for the show at the IX Center for so many years, Fassnacht said setting up at a different venue wasn't as difficult as some might think. <br />"Actually, it was a piece of cake with our show," he said. "We've seen so many different facilities and we understand what it takes to run conventions." <br />He said the most difficult thing about preparing for the Great Lakes Expo Center was sorting out all the fire and safety issues because fire codes are always changing. <br />Despite the venue change, he is hoping the show continues its momentum, especially because it's closer to Lake and Geauga county residents. Continued.2 <br />"I think a lot of people were so used to having one convention center in Northeast Ohio and a lot of people were saying this could never happen in Euclid," he said. "Now I think we've shown people we are going to open on time and while most people don't like change,[url=http://nikefreetilbud.hcslnet.com]nike free tilbud[/url], this is a change that is good." <br />Speaking of change, this is the first year parking is free, and Fassnacht promises less expensive admission and concession prices. <br />"We are in the middle of a recession and people want value," he said. "We don't want to gouge people for parking, food and beverage." <br />Advance sale tickets are $9 and can be purchased at Discount Drug Marts. Admission at the door is $12 while children 12 and younger are admitted free. <br />The Great Lakes Expo Center is located at 1200 Babbitt Road.
